How to repair and disassemble if you can't hit or click the MacbookAir trackpad
If the trackpad of the MacbookAir A1369 (13 inch) is defective or faulty, the following decomposition method will be helpful!
[MacbookAir A1369 Trackpad Replacement STEP 1]
If the MacbookAir trackpad malfunctions or there is no response when you click it, it may be physically faulty. In this decomposition method, please refer to it because it is open to the place where the trackpad is removed.
[MacbookAir A1369 Trackpad Replacement STEP 2]
We have started from the place where the battery was removed suddenly, but the process so far is open to the public by MacbookAir battery replacement, so please refer to that.
[MacbookAir A1369 Trackpad Replacement STEP 3]
I removed the battery in the previous process, but there is this place where the battery was removed.
The trackpad is pierced by a cable connected to the logic board side and a cable connected to the keyboard, but the red frame is connected to the logic board side.
You can easily remove it by pulling out the cable after causing the nail on the connector side.
[MacbookAir A1369 Trackpad Replacement STEP 4]
You can see that there is a slightly larger cable right next to the cable, but this is the keyboard cable.
Because the way to remove it will be the same as before, I take it off here.
If you disconnect this cable, the keyboard will not work when you finally assemble it, or it will cause malfunction, so be careful when handling it.
[MacbookAir A1369 Trackpad Replacement STEP 5]
Now you can remove all cable connections connected to the trackpad.
[MacbookAir A1369 Trackpad Replacement STEP 6]
Next, I will remove the small screw, but there are three screws each (six in total) in the place which is surrounded by a red circle, so I remove all of them.
If you can remove the screw, there is nothing that secures the trackpad, so you can easily remove it if you make it diagonal.
[MacbookAir A1369 Trackpad Replacement STEP 7]
I was able to remove the trackpad.
If you replace the newly prepared trackpad and reassemble it, the work will be completed.
As an aside, if the keyboard is not able to hit or does not respond, I suspect a keyboard failure, but it was also in the previous process, but the cable of the keyboard is connected to the trackpad.
Therefore, the keyboard may not respond if the trackpad breaks down, so in that case it will be a trackpad replacement rather than a keyboard replacement.
