SCREEN Replacement of LCD Cracking in HP Pavilion dv6 Repair Method, Decomposition Procedure
If there is a screen crack or a bad display on the LCD of HP Pavilion dv6, a liquid crystal panel replacement (LCD replacement) is required!
[HP Pavilion dv6 LCD repair and disassembly method STEP 1]
It is in a state that the whole is not visible by the thing that the display has broken, but you can confirm that the OS is starting normally in the left part.
In this case, I want to repair it immediately because I can use the laptop in the same environment as before by replacing only the liquid crystal panel.
[HP Pavilion dv6 LCD repair and disassembly method STEP 2]
First of all, decomposition starts from the place where the battery is removed from the laptop.
Be sure to do so because there is a risk of shorting if you disassemble without removing the battery.
You can easily remove it by turning the main unit inside out and sliding the knob next to the battery.
[HP Pavilion dv6 LCD repair and disassembly method STEP 3]
From here, we will enter the decomposition of the liquid crystal side, but since the LCD panel is fixed with a frame and a rear panel, we will first remove the frame.
The liquid crystal frame is fixed with several screws, and it is hidden by rubber called screw concealation as shown in the image, so you can easily remove the rubber if you turn it with tweezers.
[HP Pavilion dv6 LCD repair and disassembly method STEP 4]
Let's remove the screw using the Phillips screwdriver!
This time it is only on the left side, but there are screws in the same part on the right side, so don't forget to remove them.
[HP Pavilion dv6 LCD repair and disassembly method STEP 5]
If the screw can be removed, there is no fixed frame itself, but the frame is also fixed with plastic claws.
Insert the image-like spatula into the gap between the rear panel and the frame, and remove it slightly.
[HP Pavilion dv6 decomposition STEP 6]
I think that the liquid crystal panel was confirmed when the liquid crystal frame was removed.
The LCD panel itself is also fixed with several screws, so the screws will be removed.
The image part will be in the upper left, but there are screws in the same part in the upper right corner, so remove it.
[HP Pavilion dv6 LCD repair and disassembly method STEP 7]
Then, all the screws of the horizontal part are removed while obliquely because it is possible to make the liquid crystal itself slightly obliquely.
There are screws on the left and right, so don't forget to remove them.
If all screws can be removed, the only thing that secures the LCD panel is the LCD cable on the back.
Let's knock it down to the keyboard side so as not to damage the cable!
[HP Pavilion dv6 LCD repair and disassembly method STEP 8]
I think that it was able to confirm that the liquid crystal cable is connected to the back if it is possible to knock down the liquid crystal.
You can easily pull it out by peeling off the tape and sliding the cable sideways.
Now that I think that the liquid crystal panel has been removed, the work is completed if i replace it with a newly prepared part and reassemble it with the original procedure.
[HP Pavilion dv6 LCD repair and disassembly method STEP 9]
All built-in is completeand turned on.
We were able to confirm that the display of the laptop was displayed correctly.
