iPad2 dock connector replacement Repair method and disassembly method 8 steps

How to repair or disassemble if iTunes can't charge your iPad2 or iTunes doesn't recognize it

IPad2 dock connector replacement and disassembly procedure

[STEP 1]
iPad2 Dock Connector Decomposition Method 1This decomposition method is useful if the iPad cannot be charged or itunes does not recognize it.
The procedure for replacing the lcd glass of the ipad2, replacing the LCD panel and disassembling it is the same, but you can check it in the image, so please disassemble it according to the procedure.
Since the double-sided tape which cooperates to the red part is glued, it warms it with a dryer, a heat gun, etc. and floats the double-sided tape.
[STEP 2]
Next, we start to work on disassembling liquid crystal glass using suction cups and other methods.
Suction cups are sold at home centers and are mainly used by glass shops.
There are from large to small, but small things are enough for disassembling the iPad.
[STEP 3]
Decomposition of this liquid crystal glass is the most important for disassembling the iPad, so we will work carefully.
Do you see that the glass is farther than the main body?
It is the momentum that I want to remove at once as it is, but I will decompose carefully using a dryer, heat gun, etc.
[STEP 4]
The dock connector that is the subject of this disassembly is the part that is enclosed in "blue".
In order to remove the dock connector, it is necessary to remove the LCD panel, so remove the LCD panel.
The liquid crystal glass has come off the main body, but the cable (orange part) connecting the liquid crystal glass to the ipad body is still attached.
If you remove the liquid crystal glass forcibly in the process of removing it, the cable part will be cut off, so when removing the cable surface, it will work carefully.
Since it is safe to remove the liquid crystal glass completely when removing the dock connector, let the liquid crystal glass lie down while paying attention to the cable of the orange part.
In addition, wifi part and the cable of the volume switch may be involved in the work of removing the double-sided tape, so when you break down the liquid crystal glass, I think that it is a good way to check by looking into the inside and off a little.
The red circle part becomes the mounting screw of the liquid crystal panel, so remove all.
[STEP 5]
Liquid crystal glass is okay in a state of being laid, but the liquid crystal panel will be removed because it will be in the way of disassembling the dock connector.
[STEP 6]
The orange part becomes the connection part of the LIQUID PANEL, but remove the battery first before removing it.
There is a screw in the red circle part, but it is a mechanism that is connected to the battery by closing the screw.
You can remove the cable from the LCD panel by removing the screw and pulling out the lcd cable (orange) while away from the battery below.
[STEP 7]
The LCD panel is removed.
Two screws are attached to the red circle part and a connector is connected to the orange part, so remove it.
[STEP 8]
The dock connector has been removed.
If the iPad can't be charged or itunes doesn't recognize it, the dock connector isn't necessarily the cause.
It may be a battery or a motherboard failure.
If the symptoms do not change after replacing the dock connector, you need to try replacing the battery or motherboard.
Reassemble in the original order and it will be completed.
